FAQ

NOROCK was established in 2009 with our head office located in Australia. NOROCK comes from a line of stabilising innovations created by Chris Heyring. These stabilising innovations include the successful Kinetic Suspension Systems and Nauti-Craft Marine Suspension. Kinetic Suspension systems are used by some of the worlds leading automotive companies such as Toyota, Nissan and McLaren and Nauti-Craft is well advanced in designing water crafts under license for use in the Recreational and Offshore workboat markets in Europe and the Middle East. The basic functionality of a NOROCK table is closely related to the hydraulic systems used by Kinetic or Naut-Craft but NOROCK has been completely simplified and adapted to work as a purely mechanical system.

NOROCK bases use a simple mechanical system with four pivoting legs that are interconnected in such a way that they must reach an average weight loading on all four feet. When a table is placed on an uneven surface the feet will move until all four feet reach a state of equilibrium or more simply, a state of stability.

Yes, all of our bases are designed, engineered and built to contract and commercial-grade quality.

Yes, all NOROCK table bases are designed for both indoor and outdoor use. Our aluminium and steel bases are powder-coated with quality coatings providing a high level of corrosion protection, and our plastic product is naturally corrosion resistant. Stainless steel hardware is used for all critical and external components.

Our NOROCK self-stabilising mechanism is guaranteed for five years against structural or manufacturing defects that are not due to improper use or maintenance. Our coatings are guaranteed for one year against invasive rust or corrosion not deriving from scratches or abrasions due to use and which cannot be removed by normal cleaning and care. The coatings on NOROCK bases cannot be warranted in seaside installations unless an ‘extra protection’ coating option has been specified.

To make use of the guarantee, return the defective product to the dealer along with the sales receipt.

NOROCK declines any responsibility for faults and/or damages deriving from improper use of products.

The guarantee does not include any type of product assistance or repair of the product due to improper use or any damaged part thereof.

All NOROCK table bases require some assembly as they come flat-packed or in ‘knock-down’ (KD) form. All bases come with comprehensive assembly instructions. In addition, we have an assembly instruction video available.

No, NOROCK table bases can be used with a wide range of tabletops. All NOROCK tables come complete with a top plate/spider with variable screw holes so you can pair NOROCK table bases with any tabletop you choose.

Absolutely, NOROCK tables bases are designed to be used with a wide range of tabletops. Our bases can be fitted to either new tops, or retrofit NOROCK bases to your existing tops.

Our table bases vary in what weight we recommend they can carry, for any square, rectangular or round tops you may have. The beauty of a NOROCK is that our patented mechanism doesn’t have any delicate oil-filled parts so it is very robust.

If using a heavy table top (think granite or marble) we recommend using our Parkway self-stabilising table base with its steel plate legs — in particular our new heavy-duty version of the Parkway which also comes with a steel hub for extra strength.

Please refer to our maximum tabletop weight recommendations for more detailed information.

Yes, our full range of self-stabilising table bases are all ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant. Our dining height bases are 715mm / 28.14 inches.
