We understand — selecting the perfect tabletop is a significant part of the design process. Whether it’s round, square, rectangular, timber, terrazzo, or even something seriously solid like marble, it all starts with style. But before you hit send on that purchase order or sign off your spec sheet, there’s one important step: check our Maximum Tabletop Sizing and Weight Recommendations (PDF) to make sure your tabletop and base are the perfect match.

The good news? NOROCK plays nice with (almost) everyone. All of our self-stabilising table bases come with a top plate (also known as a spider) featuring multiple screw holes, allowing you to pair them with almost any tabletop, new or existing. Each base has different limits depending on the shape, size, and weight of the top, and following our guidelines means better performance, long-term stability, and no unexpected spills (because nobody wants to wear their wine).

If you’re working with heavier tops like marble or granite, we recommend our Parkway base, especially the heavy-duty version with steel legs and a reinforced steel hub for extra strength. For everything else, refer to our PDF before ordering, specifying, or requesting a quote. And if you’re unsure, just ask — we’re always happy to help!
