Eat Drink Design Awards – Shortlist Announcement

Eat Drink Design Shortlist Revealed 24 August

We are excited to find out the shortlist of nominees for the Eat Drink Design Awards!

As a very proud supporting partner of the event, the whole team here at NOROCK self-stabilising table bases cannot wait to see who the nominees are for the prestigious Eat Drink Design Awards this year. The award recognises both Australia and New Zealand’s “innovation and excellence in the design of hospitality premises of all scales and types, retail environments for the sale of food and beverages and visual identities for both.” Previous nominees of the awards have been a delight to all the senses, and include iTL Italian Kitchen which features our NOROCK Parkway table base.

The awards, presented by Artichoke magazine, perfectly aligns with our ethos, as we agree that “good design is good for business – it attracts patrons (and keeps them coming back) and creates an efficient working environment for staff.” We are all about form and function, designing a table base that not only looks good but also self-stabilises without a fuss.

Restaurants, bars, clubs, hotels and more will be judged to win awards including “Best Bar Design”, “Best Restaurant Design” and “Best Cafe Design” with a total prize pool of over $10,000. The distinguished Eat Drink Design Awards jury this year includes chef and restauranteur Shannon Bennett and Masterchef Australia judge and food writer Melissa Leong.

The principal partner of the event is NOROCK distributor James Richardson Furniture (JRF) with the event tomorrow night being held at their showroom in Sydney.

Signature dishes, perfectly pitched drinks and impeccable service are an integral part of the eating and drinking experience, but a venue’s interior is an equally important ingredient.

The nominees will be revealed online on the 24th of August with the main event at Two Ton Max in North Melbourne on the 10th of November. Good luck to all the venues, designers and architects vying for these prestigious awards!
